Adams Calyx Ware Ming Toi dinner plate w/distinctive blue geometric border & central chinoiserie bird and floral motif. The Chinoiserie-inspired "Ming Toi" pattern was officially introduced by Adams (then part of the Wedgwood Group) in 1969 and sold through 1979. Detailed floral tree branch growing from a stylized root structure.Colors: Soft slate blue, muted gold, and brown tones. Delicate blossoms, pointed leaves, and a faint butterfly or insect hovering near the right side of the branch. A very light, pale celadon or ice-blue glazed surface. Border Design - clean, thin circular line framing the central artwork. Rim - alternating geometric and floral panels. Geometric Panels: Deep blue sections filled with a fine, cross-hatched basketweave texture. Floral Panels: Small blue flowers nestled between golden-brown leaves. Edge: A smooth, slightly scalloped white outer rim. ~10" across
