Product Details
A true Victorian treasure, this stunning Vaseline uranium glass Celery Yacht was introduced around 1884 by Hobbs, Brockunier & Company. Known by collectors as Daisy & Button, Star Pattern, or Type 1 Celery Yacht, this elegant serving piece showcases the intricate pressed-glass craftsmanship that made Hobbs, Brockunier one of the premier American glasshouses of the 19th century. Originally designed to grace Victorian dining tables as a celery server, its graceful boat-shaped form and richly detailed Daisy & Button and star motifs make it a standout display piece today. The beautiful Vaseline glass color glows a brilliant neon green under UV light, adding another layer of excitement for uranium glass collectors. Produced over 140 years ago, authentic Hobbs, Brockunier Vaseline pieces are increasingly difficult to find, making this a wonderful addition to any serious uranium glass, Victorian glass, or antique pressed glass collection. Maker: Hobbs, Brockunier & Co. Pattern: No. 101
