Stunning antique Northwood Glass Company “Tree Trunk” swung vase in the highly desirable white opalescent finish. Introduced in 1909, this iconic pattern features deeply molded bark texture with crescent and hob details that resemble a natural tree trunk. This example was expertly stretched by the glassworker into an elegant 10¾-inch tall form, creating the dramatic silhouette collectors love. The opalescent finish highlights the bark texture beautifully and glows along the ruffled rim and raised details. The base displays the correct molded starburst pattern associated with early Northwood production. Like many early examples, this vase is unmarked, which is common for this pattern and era. Condition: Excellent antique condition. No chips, cracks, or flea bites noted. Glass remains clear with no significant staining or mineral deposits. Minor factory characteristics such as mold lines or tiny enclosed bubbles may be present, as expected in antique hand-finished glass.
