Art Nouveau Amethyst Glass Thistle & Leaf Brooch, 3" wide and 7/8" tall at center. Elongated oval with a chunky pointed amethyst glass bezel-set stone that is appx. 22mm aby 17mm and sits up from the frame of the brooch with leaves at each side and a trail of what looks like thistles meeting on top of the amethyst glass stone. Heavy design, c-clasp with pin that extends to the very edge of the brooch. Exact age unknown but earlier 1900's. Not signed by the maker. Brassy gold tone and in very good condition.
