1950s Handpainted Over Black Glaze Ceramic Deer Bookends Pair - Made in Japan Adorable pair of baby reindeer bookends, made in Japan c.1960. Finished in high-gloss black glaze and then handpainted, so the detailing is vulnerable to wear. There has been a little loss of colour here and there (please review photos carefully), but nothing significant that detracts from their charm. Otherwise in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. 16.5cm H x 11cm W (each) x 6cm D. Local pick-up is available from Athelstone 5076.
