Authenticated MMA striking museum reproduction necklace consisting of a strand of ribbed/coiled sterling silver beads with an oxidized antiqued finish, featuring a prominent curved carnelian centerpiece (boomerang/crescent shape) flanked by ornately decorated gold-toned metal end caps with intricate repousse or embossed scrollwork detailing. The necklace closes with a hook-and-eye style clasp. The piece comes in its original Metropolitan Museum of Art gift box with an accompanying information card identifying it as based on a South Mesopotamian original, circa 2112–2004 B.C. Hallmarks Visible stamp on clasp disc reads '925 MMA' —Secondary mark appears to read 'BMCO' the maker or production for the MMA.
