The Foundation Piece is a Vintage Open Book turned to Chapter 2 called Kidnapped. All the books have titles relevant to my story. The open book represent the pages I’ve already lived and the pages I’m still writing and that my story isn’t finished. The Beatles Connection The song “Blackbird” by the Beatles is one that I played on repeat over and over during this time. The first chorus is so meaningful. “Take these Wings and Learn to Fly…”Therefore music is shown in the birdcage spilling out and also rolled up to show the song helped me escape the madness. The Birdcage has the door open with just the nest and a feather. I don’t want to diminish that I survived that period of my life.However, I was never meant to stay trapped. The Bird The black bird is the heart of the vignette. It is positioned higher than everything else, showing I took my broken wings and learned to fly.
