Antique Edwardian era postcard featuring the famous English stage actress Miss Gabrielle Ray, published by J. Beagles & Co. (No. 485 G). This hand-tinted color lithograph depicts the actress in a rustic setting, emerging from a wicker basket amidst hay, wearing a floral accessory and a white cap. The reverse side contains a handwritten message and a green one-penny King Edward VII stamp postmarked April 15, 1908, from Poplar. A charming piece of theatrical memorabilia and social history from the early 20th century.
