The series was commissioned by the Parisian Fashion Chamber to chronicle a century of French fashion evolution.Beautifully illustrated and signed by post-war artist François Ganeau, this specific plate honors the resilient fashion spirit of women during WWII in 1943. It features a striking watercolor-style depiction of "Hélène" checking her makeup in a tailored trench coat against a sketched Parisian street backdrop. Great vintage condition.
