Antique Whitall Tatum & Co. “Double Safety” glass storage jar measuring approximately 5½” tall with lid and 4” wide. Features the original embossed glass lid and wire bail closure. Front is embossed “Double Safety,” and the base is marked Whitall Tatum & Co., Boston, Mass. A charming early 1900s pantry jar with farmhouse, country store, and primitive kitchen appeal. Glass is clear with strong embossing and displays beautifully. The front reads “Dorilla Lafetry” Original wire bail shows light surface rust and age-related patina consistent with antique use. No cracks. Small chip on rim of jar. A wonderful addition to any antique jar or kitchenware collection.
