Pictured is an original hand-drawn literary illustration depicting Sir Walter Scott (1771-1832). The artwork is executed in India ink with transparent watercolor on a glass slide measuring approximately 4" x 3 1/4". The slide contains biographical scenes and handwritten notes relating to Scott's life and literary career, including references to Abbotsford, poetry, novels, and other events associated with the author. A handwritten notation on the slide identifies the medium as "India Ink – Transparent Watercolor." Please review all photographs for condition and details.
