The pineapple has been a symbol of hospitality, refinement, and welcome since the colonial era - appearing on everything from Georgian estate gates to fine silver. In this lamp, that centuries-old symbolism is rendered in heavy, solid brass with an artisan's attention to surface texture and form. This stately 30” solid brass pineapple lamp embodies the timeless elegance of classic interiors. Topping the lamp is a black custom-trimmed Dupioni silk shade. The shade is adorned with dramatic ball fringe. The shade and lamp are in very good vintage condition. The brass is lacquered and will remain this color if you don't use any cleaning fluids on it. There are some lovely dark patina spots on the finish of the lamp in places, please see photos for examples. It measures approximately 35.5"H from the base to the top of the shade. The base measures about 5.5" diameter. The included cut-corner rectangle bell shade measures 8"x 11" top, 13"x 18" bottom, and 13" high.
