Prong knives and hatchets give you more surface area for lifting prongs and can be more comfortable to use in certain situations. Pusher ends serve multiple functions. I use them most when an open back stone can't be lifted from the setting, pushing from the back is often the only way to get one to budge. Since the pusher end is round you don't run the danger of gouging anything when the stone lets go. You can also use them to seat stones after gluing, apply even pressure to ensure the stone is level in the setting. Overall lengths are 6.5-7.25"
