It is the final evolution of Pichu and Pikachu, achieved by exposing a Pikachu to a Thunder Stone. Famous for its ability to release over 100,000 volts of electricity, Raichu is characterized by its orange fur, glowing cheek pouches, and a long, whip-like tail. Lore & Behavior Raichu stores massive amounts of electricity, which causes it to glow slightly in the dark. If its electrical pouches are fully charged, its ears stand straight up. Trainers are warned that as its electrical buildup increases, Raichu can become aggressive. In the Alola region, it uses psychokinesis to levitate on its own tail like a surfboard.
