Original WWII U.S. Maritime Commission "Ships For Victory" Award of Merit Pin Offered is an authentic World War II-era Ships For Victory Award of Merit pin issued by the U.S. Maritime Commission during America's wartime shipbuilding program. The front features a patriotic eagle design with red, white, and blue enamel and the inscriptions: "AWARD OF MERIT" "SHIPS FOR VICTORY" "MARITIME COMMISSION" The reverse is marked: A.E. Co. Utica, N.Y. (American Emblem Company, a known WWII insignia manufacturer.) Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description.
