This striking vintage Murano art glass centerpiece bowl is a breathtaking example of mid-century Italian craftsmanship. Crafted using the famous Sommerso technique, a brilliant core of chartreuse green glass is seamlessly cased inside a thick, heavy layer of golden amber glass, creating an incredible illusion of suspended light and fluid dimension. Designed with fascinating functional versatility, this sculptural, biomorphic piece features two separate factory-ground, fire-polished flat bases. This ingenious design allows the bowl to be displayed in two completely different ways: positioned dynamically upright as a rising, organic wave, or laid down to serve as an elegant, shallow catch-all dish.
