Ex Gorny & Mosch sale 196, 2011, 3220 (part of) Leucas, a strategically vital island-city in Akarnania, was a Corinthian colony that adopted the Pegasos coinage tradition of its mother city. The lambda below Pegasos marks the issuing city, while the reverse letters ΛΕΥ spell Leucas. Athena, patron goddess, appears helmeted, with a scallop shell reflecting the city's maritime identity.
