Original albumen carte de visite by celebrated New York photographer José Maria Mora, featuring actress Mrs. Florence, circa 1875. Beautiful theatrical portrait with elaborate lace mantilla, floral hair ornament, jeweled velvet choker, and excellent mid-Victorian styling. A desirable example of 19th-century American theatrical photography. Very good if not better condition with some VERY light age related wear and a possibly contemporary pencil identification on the reverse. See photos.
