Fabric has been washed - tiny tiny spots in places - each yard has a lot of useable fabric, that is why it is discounted to $4 a yard. The spots are in the manufacturing, if you look at the right-hand corner of the photo you can see the light brown line. It appears about every 26". Very easy to cut around.
