This aluminum-bronze coin features the Cedar of Lebanon on one side and an ancient Phoenician-style ship on the other, connecting the piece to Lebanon’s deep maritime and Mediterranean history. The Arabic and French inscriptions reflect the layered identity of early modern Lebanon, before full independence.
