It is soft and thick fabric with a zipper and pockets on the insides. It holds my 12.9 in iPad Pro and 32oz owala very well. Does not feel heavy! I measured the width and height of the bag, sorry for inaccuracy, I use a ruler: measured from the top zipper- 14in wide and about 12in in height.
