This little lady had me perplexed at first — but the details tell her story. The relief rises naturally from a darker ground coat with no telltale seam, thicker at top and bottom the way genuine carved shell presents. At her décolletage sits a white gem stone nestled inside the most exquisite hand-engraved sunburst surround, carved directly into the cameo itself. Presidium tested — measures to white sapphire. The rich gold-tone bezel shows no base metal showing through even on the light whisper scratches on back— suggesting gold filled or heavily plated. Ready to wear on an 18" gold over stainless steel box chain with lobster clasp. Cameo approximately 1" x ⅞". Total drop with bale 1¼". No hallmarks on pendant.
