This is a vintage Anchor Hocking "Hoosier" style ribbed glass canister, often referred to as a cookie or sugar jar. It is made from green depression glass, which contains uranium and will glow under a UV light. These jars were originally designed in the 1920s or 1930s for storage inside Hoosier cabinets. The lid is made of metal with a painted white finish, shows expected wear and patina. Approximately 8” tall x 6.5” wide with no chips or cracks.
