MAR. 21. 82” • U.S. Patent No. 255,278 (March 21, 1882) • Patented self-closing bracelet by Gamaliel B. Goff & Gustavus Lenau, manufactured under patent for S. E. Fisher & Co., Attleboro, MA • Original spring mechanism is no longer operational, so the bracelet does not self-close, but the patented construction remains intact. • Includes a copy of the original 1882 U.S. patent drawing with purchase. An exceptional documented example of American Victorian Etruscan Revival jewelry featuring a patented mechanical design.
