This is a mixed media art piece created with a large portion being paper mache. Many other material were used on this including two actual glass for eyes, clay mixtures for subtle sporadic scale texture effects, and even metallic gold paint that shines in the light which creates a nice look for a fake mounted taxidermy fish. It does weigh a few pounds and the very very back that is against the wall isn’t the most visually appealing but it is quite sturdy and has been hanging easily on my cheap apartment wall with a not so sturdy nail with out falling. lol. You can’t really inspect and see the back mounting as it hangs unless you are really trying to get up in there and against the wall. The Magikarp is roughly 24 inches (2 feet long) from the mouth to the tail end tip. I can find and send exact measurements if needed. Don’t hesitate to reach out.
