Tough 1908-S U.S. Philippines One Peso silver coin. While this date had a healthy mintage on paper, massive quantities of the 1908-S were famously held in Treasury vaults in Manila and subsequently lost, destroyed, or dumped into Manila Bay during WWII to keep them out of enemy hands. Finding a raw, clean, mid-grade circulated survivor that hasn't been harshly scrubbed or corroded is a huge win. Excellent eye appeal on this piece!
