A lovely flow blue saucer in Johnson Brothers Holland, the soft blurred cobalt onion pattern with a scalloped lacy embossed rim. SPECS: Approx 5 in diameter (confirm). Saucer with recessed cup ring. HOLLAND over crown, Johnson Bros England backstamp to the reverse. HISTORY: Johnson Brothers, England, circa 1900 to 1915. Holland is the firm's flow blue answer to the Meissen Blue Onion, the deliberately flown blue giving it an authentic Chinese-style softness, hugely popular on American Edwardian dressers.
