This is a 1991 Canadian Commemorative Silver Dollar. It marks the 175th anniversary of the launch of the S.S. Frontenac in 1816, which was the first Canadian-built steamship to operate on the Great Lakes (Lake Ontario). Specifications Composition: 50% Silver, 50% Copper (.500 fine silver) Total Weight: 23.33 grams Pure Silver Content: 0.375 troy ounces (ASW) Diameter: 36.07 mm Design: Designed by artist David Craig. The reverse shows the paddle-driven steamship sailing by a small island where two fishermen are looking on. The obverse (back side) features an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.
