Stunning antique carnival glass footed compote bowl in a peacock/fan pattern, featuring a rich marigold base with vibrant iridescence in purple, gold, blue, and green. This piece has a ruffled rim with a six-pointed shape, detailed repeating fan or peacock tail motifs around the body, and a pedestal base with a radiating sunburst underside. The interior color is especially strong, showing a beautiful rainbow halo effect. Unmarked, but attributed to Northwood, known for producing similar peacock and fan-pattern carnival glass in the early 1900s.
