Mookaite is an Australian stone known for its bold earthy colors with reds, yellows, creams, burgundy and glorious purples. It is known for its deep connection to the ancient landscape where it was formed. It is only found in Western Australia in the region called MOOKA Creek. The word Mooka means running water in the aboriginal language.Because of Mookaite being only found in one geographical location, it is the rarest type of Jasper. Mining is now restricted.
