Deep emerald majolica from Wedgwood: an elongated leaf-form dish with a single fern frond molded in crisp relief down the center and the sides ribbed like a banana leaf, all under that glossy pooling green glaze collectors chase. SPECS: Wedgwood majolica, green glaze on earthenware, leaf-form dish approx 11 in long Relief: fern frond on a ribbed leaf ground. Backstamp: impressed Wedgwood, Of Etruria & Barlaston, England, with date and tally marks. HISTORY: Wedgwood moved to its Barlaston works in 1940, and the Of Etruria & Barlaston mark dates this to the mid-20th century. CONDITION: Glossy deep green, relief crisp. Confirm crazing, glaze nibbles to the leaf tips, and any chips on hand inspection.
