Product Details
Up for sale is a magnificent, highly collectible Southwestern cuff bracelet by the renowned artist Jock Favour (Anglo, active 1970s–present). Favour is legendary for his commitment to 19th-century Navajo-revival techniques. This piece was created by melting down old coin silver, hand-pouring it into an ingot bar, and painstakingly forging it with a hammer. The result is a heavy, dense bracelet with a historic patina that modern commercial silver cannot replicate. This specific piece features a rugged, western-inspired bull theme chiseled and stamped onto the sides of a traditional two-rail split band. The center showcases a striking, bright blue rectangular turquoise stone with a deep matrix, flanked by two smaller turquoise side stones. All three are securely set in crisp, classic sawtooth bezels.Condition:Excellent handcrafted/vintage condition with a beautiful, natural oxidation and patina. Please note there is some natural crazing (hairline matrix lines) in the stones. This is entirely normal for natural, untreated turquoise and adds to the rustic, antique aesthetic of Favour's work. Hallmarked JF on the interior.
