Featuring richly detailed raised scenes of mounted fox hunters, hounds in pursuit, woodland landscapes, and a distinctive hound-form handle, this impressive pitcher captures the spirit of the traditional English fox hunt. The molded relief decoration is beautifully hand-colored with vibrant greens, browns, reds, and yellows, creating a lively three-dimensional presentation from every angle. The pattern takes its name from the famous nineteenth-century hunting song "D'Ye Ken John Peel," honoring the legendary Cumbrian huntsman John Peel.
