Beautiful hand-painted porcelain portrait brooch featuring a romantic Gibson Girl style lady with softly curled hair, pearl jewelry, and delicate pastel coloring. Set in a simple gold tone mounting with an early C-clasp style pin back. Measures approximately 1.5” tall. Lovely painterly detail with a soft late Edwardian aesthetic and wonderful antique jewelry box charm. Visible surface wear and age-related crazing to the porcelain glaze consistent with antique porcelain pieces and adding to the authentic character of the brooch. Circa 1905–1920.
