This product is a rare and unique vintage daguerreotype ambrotype from the mid-1800s, featuring a portrait of a woman in black and white. The image measures 3" x 2.5" and is presented in a leather and wood case, adding to its historical charm. This one-of-a-kind piece is an original production technique from the pre-1850 time period, showcasing intricate filigree gold details and making it a valuable addition to any collectibles or photographic images collection. The woman has some color to her jewel and dress design, this detail brings the image to life. The case as seen is detached from base, the latch is still able to toggle and the two pieces sit nicely together, however it won’t stay shut due to the deterioration of the leather seal. This is a one of a kind and you can see the leather embellished details and the gold filigree design is duplexes of metal inlays. Stunning!
