Sculpture made by BC Robbins 6.5" x 6.5" x 6" The Black River Monster (Lyonesse): Legend tells of a 15-foot, dark brown river creature with silver eyes. Often compared to a freshwater sturgeon or an unknown serpent, locals and fishermen on the Black River (near the nearby village of Lyons Falls) report seeing it surface, particularly after severe electrical storms. The William G. Pomeroy Foundation even designated this river monster as an official part of the state's folklore.
