Product Details

The Moon and Sixpence is one of Maugham's most famous works. The story is told in the first person and follows Charles Strickland, a conventional English stockbroker who abruptly abandons his wife, children, and career to move to Paris and Tahiti to become a painter. The narrative is heavily inspired by the real life of French Post-Impressionist painter Paul Gauguin.
