Product Details

vintage "Pro" Golf Ball Marker and Engraver, originally produced around the 1950s. eBay +1Key Details & IdentificationFunction: Unlike a modern flat ball marker used to mark a ball's position on the green, this tool was designed to mechanically engrave a golfer's full name or initials directly onto the cover of a golf ball. eBay +1Mechanism: The user would insert individual tiny metal typeface letters into the holder, clamp the mechanical device onto the ball, and apply ink. The chrome anodized clamp visible at the top of your photo is the mechanical stamping device itself. eBay +1Patent Info: The box features U.S. Patent No. 2,561,947, which confirms its Mid-Century American Complete and unused. Ink bottle still sealed. The only imperfection is the corner of the box that has split open- please see photos for imperfection.

About the Seller
I am an old soul. A lover of vintage items- especially kitchen and baby treasures. What started as a robust collection of Pyrex crept into an expanding collection of Fire King and Federal glass. Who am I kidding, no Milkglass has been left behind! After helping my parents and in-laws downsize I decided it is time to address my own collections.
