This piece is part of the Lariat (Blown) collection by Heisey. The base glass features Heisey's signature Lariat design, recognizable by the continuously looped, beaded crystal trim encircling the outer rim. The raised cylinder in the center functions as a standard taper candle receptacle. It doubles as a structural socket designed to seat a blown-glass hurricane chimney shade or a decorative epergne glass vase insert. Manufactured by A.H. Heisey & Co. in Newark, Ohio between 1942 and 1957. Approximately 6" high x 7.5" wide with etched glass globe.
