2006 S proof nickel 3,000,000 minted This one has the “Struck through error” Meaning something was between the die and the planchette when it was struck “more then likely it was a build up of Greeze and oil” My local coin shop offered me $100 and I didn’t and i am not excepting the offer. I understand this is in RAW form (ungraded) if it was graded by NGC or PCGS it would be a minimum $1,000 for its condition and location on the coin. Coins go through a quality control process in order to pass inspection. Also, proof coins have not only AI inspections they have human inspections also, so they have to be flawless to pass. This one has gotten past the inspection 🧐 This is a rare find and I’m asking a fraction of the price because i understand it’s not graded. I probably won’t get it graded anytime soon but i hope one day, I can get most of my error coins graded if I’m still the owner of them at that time.
