Product Details

Exceptional antique Wedgwood majolica hops pitcher dating to approximately 1875. This Victorian-era example features raised hop vine decoration against a vibrant cobalt blue ground, a naturalistic branch-form handle, and a striking turquoise glazed interior. The detailed relief work and rich coloration exemplify the artistry of late 19th-century English majolica. Measures approximately 6” tall. Marked Wedgwood on the underside. Displays age-related crazing consistent with antique majolica and a hairline crack visible in photographs. Despite age-related wear, this remains a highly desirable example of Victorian Wedgwood majolica and a wonderful addition to collections of English pottery, majolica, and decorative arts. Vintage and antique items are pre-owned and may show age-related wear consistent with use and storage. Please review all photos carefully as they are considered part of the description. Colors may vary slightly due to monitor settings. Items are sold as is.
