Authentic vintage Tohono O'odham (formerly known as Papago) handwoven lidded basket featuring traditional coil construction using natural desert plant fibers. This charming miniature basket includes its original informational tag identifying it as a Papago Indian Basket and appears to be signed by the artisan. The basket showcases intricate handwoven craftsmanship with a fitted lid and decorative woven finial handle. According to the included literature, traditional materials include beargrass, yucca, and other native Southwestern plant fibers. Measures approximately 4" tall with lid and about 3.5" wide at its widest point. Very good preowned vintage condition. No specific flaws noted—please review all photos carefully.
