Product Details

Beautiful antique Japanese porcelain covered sugar bowl featuring a vibrant turquoise ground with hand-painted pink and lavender floral decoration. The piece is richly accented with gold moriage detailing, ornate scroll handles, and a matching domed lid. Measures just under 4” tall. An old collector label inside identifies the piece as “Handpainted Nippon Sugar,” though no factory mark is present on the base. The form, decoration, and craftsmanship are consistent with late Meiji to Taisho period Japanese export porcelain. Displays beautifully with Victorian, cottage, shabby chic, or antique porcelain collections. Good antique condition with expected age-related wear to the gold decoration and minor signs of use. Please review all photos carefully as they are part of the description.
