John 3:16, 1 Cor 13, Rom 5:8 I came up with this design one day in a theology class. It stuck in my head. The idea that God is one of love, endless love. What better way to showcase the Gospel of Christ than to use a universal sign of “I love you” (common in sign language). There is a down facing arrow in the index finger to represent God sending down His one and only son to live as a bridge for sinners to God. It is on the index finger to say that God thought of us first and to display that Jesus is perfectly God. The cross is naturally in the middle two fingers to illustrate the life and death of Christ was not the end of the story. The pinky finger has an arrow going up to show that Christ rose again on the third day- defeating death and giving us an opportunity at everlasting life when we come to faith in Him.
