My son opened a thrift store to raise money for rescued dogs and cats in West Texas where the abandoned pet problem is overwhelming. This is oil country, so many people move here temporarily and they come & go. That leads to lots of rentals that don’t accept pets, and a large number of people that don’t provide animals with proper care. Abandoned and unwanted pets are a real problem. So, our thrift raises what it can to help pay for spay, neuter, and vaccination services. We also provide foster care to nearly a dozen cats and multiple dogs at a time.
