Product Details
This pendant by Taos Pueblo artist Lawrence Archuleta of Buffalo Dancer is a unique and beautifully crafted celebration of Southwestern imagery. The pendant features two linked symbols cut from striking wild horse magnesite stones - a five-point star and a saguaro cactus. Each stone is meticulously shaped and set in high sawtooth bezels framed with delicate twist wire, highlighting the beautiful natural patterns within the wild horse magnesite. The coordinating bail is finished with matching twist wire edges and accommodates beads up to 8 millimeters in size. Purchased directly from the artist, who shared that the star shapes are the most difficult to cut and produce the greatest amount of stone waste, this pendant represents a remarkable combination of artistry, craftsmanship, and material. The reverse is stamped L. Archuleta and partially stamped STERLING. PLEASE NOTE: the 6mm sterling silver burnished beads by Marilyn Platero are NOT included in this purchase.
