Hard-to-find figurine pair from the renowned Ceramic Arts Studio of Madison, Wisconsin. Expertly designed by primary studio artist Betty Harrington in the late 1940s/early 1950s *The Gentleman (Matador): Measures approximately 7 3/4" tall. He features beautifully detailed ruffled sleeves trimmed in gold, a green vest with metallic gold accents, a bold red sash/cummerbund, and holds a draped black cape. *The Lady (Flamenco Dancer): Measures approximately 7" tall. She is depicted mid-motion, wearing a dramatic tiered dark green dress with gold rims, a light green shawl, a beautiful red rose sash across her dress, a matching rose in her hair, and a classic gold comb while holding an elegant gold fan. *Markings: Both figurines are clearly stamped on the bottom with the authentic "Ceramic Arts Studio Madison Wis. ©" copyright mark. *Codition: Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, crazing, or structural issues detected.
