*First Chapter of Akuma-kun returns: Millennium Kingdom by Shigeru Mizuki* *55th Issued Edition of Weekly Jump* Originally published on March 30th in 1970 for the low cost of 80 yen (roughly 0.22 cents USD in 1970) marking the 14th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump! The cover was done by Hiraishi Yoko who had previously worked on the cover of issue 9 in the same year. I was very lucky to find this issue intact with very few marks inside, it begins with a whopping 14 consecutive color pages of Akuma-kun Fukkatsu: Sennen Ōkoku (or Hakaba Kitarō before later being renamed as Gegege no Kitarō) created as a remake and to have a official ending to the rental manga or Kamishibai “Akuma-kun” (Kamishibai = Street Theater which was popular in the 1930s-40s before losing popularity due to the introduction of the television.)
