Product Details
An authentic antique copy of "The New Franklin Fifth Reader," copyrighted 1884 by Loomis J. Campbell. This educational reader features an elocutionary treatise by Prof. Mark Bailey and new and original illustrations. The book is bound in its original dark maroon cloth with embossed decorative elements and title on the front cover and spine. The spine shows some wear and fraying at the edges, consistent with its age. The covers exhibit some rubbing and minor discoloration. Inside, the front endpapers contain handwritten inscriptions, including names and a date of "1923," indicating previous ownership and adding to its historical charm. Pages are age-toned but appear complete and the binding remains solid. A wonderful piece of educational history, perfect for collectors of antiquarian books, readers, or historical school materials.
