Extremely rare Mexican 8 Reales from a time of uncooperative federal states and warring factions in Mexico. This 8 Reales was minted at the Zacatecas Mint in 1842 in a transitional die phase from old to new or 1841 type to 1843 type. Strong detailed 5 Mound cactus base, unique to Zacatecas strikes. .903 Silver .786ozt. Great detailed almost UNC full cap & Rays. Possible Brockage error on reverse.
